Designing in Yalecrest
Yalecrest, or Harvard-Yale, is one of Salt Lake City’s most distinctive historic neighborhoods — a National Register historic district of period homes built largely between the 1920s and 1940s, on the tree-lined streets east of the University named for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and their peers. Tudor Revival, English cottage, and Colonial Revival homes give the area a character that’s almost impossible to replicate and easy to erase with the wrong renovation.
This work is personal for us. Jana Robertson, our principal designer, grew up in an old Victorian in New England and fell early for the soul of a classic house. Bringing that same care to Salt Lake’s historic homes is work we cherish.
That’s the balance we strike: design honoring the craftsmanship and character so distinctive to Yalecrest, while bringing new aesthetic and functional life to spaces for the way people live now. Harvard 1932 is a clear expression of that approach — a full interior design for a restored 1932 home, done for the 2026 Salt Lake Parade of Homes.
Whether in Yalecrest or elsewhere in Salt Lake City, Roberts & Lamb brings full-service interior design to homes with history.
