Traditional Charm
Sugarhouse, UT
After over thirty years of cherished memories in their beloved Sugarhouse home, our clients—a distinguished doctor and his wife, now embracing their role as empty nesters—sought a fresh chapter that honored the home’s rich history while welcoming a new era of style and practicality. Roberts and Lamb collaborated with the clients to determine a vision that would blend timeless charm with comfort.
To open up the heart of the home, we partnered with an architect to relocate a central bathroom that once divided the main living spaces. This bold move resulted in a harmonious open-plan layout, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining, and family spaces—ideal for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. The new master suite was carefully designed to offer the couple a sanctuary—both functional and stylish—that felt like a truly private retreat.
The result? A home our clients now proudly call their “new house.” With the design tailored to accommodate their growing family—three new grandchildren arrived during the project—the transformation was nothing short of a success. Our clients are thrilled with the outcome, appreciating how the redesign preserves the essence of their home while beautifully ushering it into the present.
