Modern Vintage

Sandy, UT

Our clients, a working couple with four children, approached us with a project to expand and redesign their home in Salt Lake City. Their busy family life meant their house was becoming overcrowded and impractical. Not wanting to move from their prime location, their goal was to create more usable square footage that better met their desire to cook and entertain.

Roberts and Lamb collaborated closely with the clients and architect, applying our expertise in layout design to reimagine and maximize the functionality of the space. We doubled the square footage of the property by adding a kitchen, dining room, master bedroom, bathroom, and office. We also reconfigured the basement and transformed the original kitchen into the family’s favorite gathering spot.

Custom features, such as dual shower heads and sinks in the master bathroom, not only increased the home’s resale value but also catered to the clients’ specific needs. The updated kitchen, equipped with ample seating, facilitated effortless hosting and family gatherings. With the addition of modern lines and vintage decor we were able to bring their artistic vision to life.
